Panel and “Sold Out”

First of all, we, Mark and Kristoffer, want to thank all of you who have registered for the event on Thursday. I, Mark, set out arranging this event because no one else had volunteered to do it in Copenhagen, and I quickly got Kristoffer on board as co-organizer, as I figured I couldn’t do it all by myself.

A couple of weeks later, here we are; the event is sold out and we have sponsors for the venue (Republikken), beer (Zendesk and Ølfabrikken), cake (ZYB), cleaning (RE:), posters (both designing (Spoiled Milk) and printing (Thomas Madsen-Mygdal)), prizes (VEGA, Nabz.dk aka. Kim Bach and others). Last but not least, Creuna and Signal Digital have donated a significant amount of money to charity:water on behalf of Copenhagen Twestival. We are very grateful for the people who have donated money and stuff so the event can get the biggest profit possible.

We are also thankful for all of the willingness individuals have shown, both to the voluntary helpers (you’ll get more information later) and the presenters, Joachim Bondo, Morten Primdahl, Mikkel Malmberg and Maame Agyeben. They are doing this for free and we couldn’t do this without them.

Also, as you might have noticed, we will have a panel that will discuss the challenges lying ahead for the Danish media. It will be moderated by Sofus Midtgaard (entrepreneur and former head of development in DR) and consists of Henrik Føhns (from DR’s radio show Harddisken), Thomas Madsen-Mygdal (Socialsquare, 23 and reboot) as well as Troels Jørgensen (chief of Berlingske Online). The debate will be in Danish, and the description of it is as follows:

Lastly, we are surprised that so many of you have blogged, tweeted and talked about Copenhagen Twestival. Please continue to do so as the event comes closer, and remember to tag it all with “cphtwestival” so we can follow the traces online. You should also post pictures from the event in the Flickr group we have created for the event: flickr.com/groups/cphtwestival

We look forward to seeing all of you and enjoying a great evening on Thursday - remember to bring cash (and lots of it, as you won’t be able to use credit cards) so you can buy beer, soda and lottery tickets!

Ps. If you didn’t get a ticket in time, get in contact with Mark and you’ll be put on the waiting list.
