New location and new sponsors

Trust us when we say we have been looking forward to writing this blog post all day, because we have a lot of news for you.

This morning at 8 o’clock we were told that we couldn’t use Ny Tap as a venue for Copenhagen Twestival after all. Carlsberg didn’t like the idea of people having beer on their grounds on a Thursday (yeah, it does sound crazy to us too), so our Monday morning started out with not having a venue at all.

After lots and lots of phone calls (+ an intense work effort from the impeccable @wendelboe), we now have a new venue: The FDF-scouts have been so kind to let us have their hall in Rysensteensgade for the event. In other words we couldn’t have beer on the brewery’s property, but the scouts had no problems with us having a beer and enjoying a great night. Obviously this night is not about heavy drinking, but we’d love for our guests to be able to have a beer and a laugh, and now that’s possible.

The full address is FDF, Rysensteensgade 3, 1564 København K - much closer to the city as well (it’s right by Rådhuspladsen/Town Hall Square), and we think it might even be slightly better than the original venue.

Moreover, besides our venue being cancelled, we also got a lot of new sponsorships today. The lovely guys in Hoist as well as RE: and Syntese Mediabuying have all agreed to make cash donations that we can pass on to Child Cancer Foundation. We’re very happy they are helping us out and you should all applaud them - it’s because of their commitment we will have a great night.

The lottery is also being filled with even more prizes - Manuvision will sponsor three gift cards for massages and Empire Bio is sponsoring two one-year memberships of Klub Empire.

We have also heard a few people ask about the program for the night, and we can’t tell you exactly who’s coming just yet - the final preparations are currently being made, but we’ll hopefully get to hear the exciting story of one of Denmark’s most adventurous entrepreneurs. More on that very very soon.

For now, there’s not much left to do but ask you to tell your friends about Copenhagen Twestival - there’s still a few tickets left at 25 kr., so share the love on Facebook, Twitter and where ever you might talk to your friends. This can’t be done without your help as well!

Take care, and we have more to tell soon… Until then, remember to buy your tickets here: amiando.com/cphtwestival
